I Build the new system today and the darn thing would not want to boot up and I can't seem to figure it out why it want boot up. I have check the all the wires and cables. Everything looks good to go. Nothing lights up except light on the mobo and fan on processor. There is nothing on monitor screen. But one thing I did last night is took the small round battary out of the mobo till I install all the things, just to make sure is my mobo and cpu want fry up when I drop something on the mobo. But unfortunatily I forgot to put back the battary on the mobo and it stayed out all night long. Do you guys think if I have erase the bios for the mobo or it's something else. Please I need some help from you guys. I am new at building computers and it's my first. Please any kind of help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You should make sure you don't have the cmos jumper on clear. It should be on normal. Is the motherboard a jumperless board? Check all the jumpers if there are any others. If you get no beeps at all after checking your jumpers you have either a bad mother or a bad cpu.

I don't think the battery is the reason it's not booting. Taking out a battery will only reset the CMOS, thus you lose any setting in the bios but not the bios it self.
