Just set my personal high at a 214 last Friday (lots of beer in the system too!).
Previous best had been a 202 (was super drunk at the time too).

I just got back from bowling, bowled a 203 and a 213. 
A lot better than my all time high (see 20 posts up) of 148. I would've and should've been in the 230's but I screwed up on the first and last frames.

Frame 1: 7 (6-7-10 split) got the 6 and 7 on the second ball.
Turkey'd the rest of the game. That was a 277. I was royally pissed because the first ball was right in the pocket and it should have been a strike. I was robbed. Of course my brother said shoot 7 get 7. He bowled a 243 . Our team was called "strike force" and we were the best on our league. This was in 1986. The last time I bowled I did lousy and barely broke 180. The lanes were dry and I was hooking coast to coast, Mike Miller style. Of course without the wood.

I got the 6 and 10 leaving the 7. Damn I need to get out more! I wonder what bowling would be like on a ship! Shuffleboard gets interesting once the seas go >6'.

I have thrown a 300 game in league play. Threw a 296 as well (totally choked on the 3rd ball in the 10th frame). Threw dozens of 279's and a few of 290's as well. Used to avg right around 200, give or a take a pin or 2. Haven't bowled in 2 years now but will be returning to the alleys next winter since I miss it.

Well, not anymore it isn't. I averaged 208 last year, and 215 the year before. I started off averaging 230+ for the first 6 weeks of last year, then hurt my back and really started sucking when I should have just stopped for awhile.Originally posted by: RagingBITCH

I was back shooting well again the last month of the season.
This year, I am semi-retired. I've subbed a few times, and I think my average for those few is over 210....but you don't have an official average until you've got 21 games bowled (7 weeks at 3 games per night in one league. (I think that's how many you need)
And at this rate, it doesn't look like I'll sub that many, which is okay with me. I'm busy, and I'd rather play golf or see my family at this point.
I do have multiple 300 games, some 299's, 3 800 series, and lots and lots of 277-8-9 games.
The high scores don't mean as much as they used to.....the lane conditions for most leagues are very easy. PBA touring pros would average over 250 on league conditions.
Still fun to shoot big numbers, just don't get cocky and think that people who shoot 300 in league could do it on the PBA tour.
