btw, I'd love to hear your review. I'm trying to decide whether or not to get those or the Etys first.

I bought the Ety's first thinking I would really like them but, I really wasn't all that impressed. Maybe it just isn't the right thing for me though.

Mine are for sale on headfi if you want them though.

Too bad! I LOVE the Etys, the best phones you could possibly use when you need to tune out other people/things. :D

Right now, I have a airhead amp, with a altoids Cmoy on the way.
The street is $375-400 new.

I don't think they are up to quality for this set of cans so, I'm going either sell both of them and buy something (maybe the Meta, if I get a souped up one, it should do the trick) or I'll keep the CMOY for portable use and buy a home amplifier somewhere under $200.

Decisions Decisions

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. They won't take long at that price...sadly, I don't have the $$$ to lay down right now. (Upgrading to Paradigm Studio 40s this weekend, hopefully)

Thanks for getting my hopes up tho. damn I wish I could buy those babies...hopefully someone will be selling a pair at a similar price late this summer.

i'm kinda glad i'm not an audiophile, so I dont' spend all my money on headphones and amps. Its not like I have great equipment so the Sony E888SP's are fine for me and my iPod

That's what I hope to get this summer...new iPod plus Etys. Total bliss on the go, and pimpin while you're at it. ;)

Thats a pretty nice setup, I haven't heard the HD600's but, apparently they are great cans for many people, that is the last phone they will buy they are so pleased with the purchase, that MGhead is nothing to be ashamed of either :)

I hope I can find a good deal on an amp. :)

Some people think the cd3000 is better than them others think vice versa but, the Sennheiser Orepheus waxs them both so........:)

I've never heard the Sonys but lots of people swear by them, so good luck. If you like it, that's all that matters.:)

Ah, the Orpheus. A tad out of my price range, but I hear great things. Probably not the sort of thing you'd want to hear unless you can afford to buy it though. :(
