Ive looked through some pages on how to make one, doesnt seem hard at all, but is there a possibility i could break the calculator?

I got 2 diodes, and this written on them: "IN4007" and right underneath that, it says "mic" Would these diodes work? Is here a change i would break my calc? or would it simply not work?

I have all the other compnents, but i dont want to try nothing if i might break the calc. Thanks for your help.

Why cant you use it? All i need it for is to make graphs for the moment.

Does anyone know how if the cable would work?

its a serial connection, not a parallel port connection.

I have never made one. but i may be interested...

some classes do not allow the use of calculators. Some that do, do not allow the use of programmable calculators.

I mean in a calculus class, some of those fancier calculators can integrate and differentiate SYMBOLICALLY. which is just cheating.

The most important thing that i want to know is, can i break my calc by doing this!

thanks

I dont think i have the right diodes, instead of 1N4148, i have IN4007. Could this change anything? Could i break my calc if i use these instead?
