cost me 182 dollars for 3 books shipped from amazon (could have gone elsewhere, but i prefer amazon over half.com or anyother place).

It would have cost me over 360 for the same 3 books at the bookstore.

i bought my book for this term barely used for $26+5 2 day shipping from amazon rather than pay $96 new at the bookstore. And the bookstore didn't even have it in stock. I'll sell it back at the end of the term for more than I paid.

Buying online would be nice but i don't have the cash to. The university doesn't disburse any loan money until 3rd week of classes. So rent payment is a major PITA also.

But when you buy books from teh bookstore you can put them right on your student account so it deducts from your loan. They take advantage of us poor folk

I buy at full price since the book store is on my way home from work, and I get full reimbursement from my company.

:)

My college has a textook rental program, which is free, so few people have to buy any of their course books

I have been buying from half.com and amazon for last year or so. I made the mistake of buying from the college bookstore when I first started back going to school. Man did that bill hurt..

I bought my textbooks online the last couple of semesters of college, worked out great, except for publishers that released new editions EVERY semester, so the books had no resale value.
