I just bought domain and am so screwed....

I just bought myhsr.com for 4 years for $70..but there is a problem...

I don't have DAMN a static Ip!!!!!!

Anyways..I am registered with Network solutions, but they will not cater to my needs of redirecting to a dynamic ip....

Anyways..here is my plan....

I will redirect( $12 damn) using their services...to hsr.dns2go.com which will redirect to my dynamic ip(Oh

WHat a mess!!)

Anyways...here is my question....

WHat can i write in html code that will allow me to keep the myhsr.com as the visible address...what about setting up an e-mail server.....

will mail withstand being routed twice...

yeesh...

by the way...how hard would it be to cancel my network solutions contract and get the domain from Deerfield..simply for the client....

how much too...?

You're not screwed at all. You can use zoneedit.com for your DNS. They have a dynamic DNS service that assigns your full domain name to a dynamic IP address. Exactly what you need. And it's free. All you have to do is sign up with zoneedit.com and then go to network solutions and change your nameservers to zoneedit.com

Thanks...

I guess I'm the idiot of the day..I already had an account with them....😱

...Back in the day when I had a x.dns2go.com address.

Thanks for the help....

I'll bother the hell out of you guys later .....

seems like zonedit will work like a charm...

I'm using their name servers and a shareware dns updater..and it seems like it will work.....

Unfortunately it takes 72 hours for name server changes to take effect...:|
