I just bought a second hand car from a dealer, and....

lemon laws almost never apply to used cars, and pretty much can't apply to out of warranty cars.

You're screwed. The stuff that's broke they may or may not fix. They may claim that since it was that way when you bought the car that its not covered. They're sure as hell not going to replace your timing belt. So, once again, you're screwed:)

Try to resell it to some consumer reports reading hack who thinks Honda=quality and then run with the money and buy a Dodge/Chrysler!

in the US there are implied warranties of merchantability that can protect consumers unless there is an AS IS sign on the sticker but I am not sure about Canadian statutes.

If you have the warranty in writing then I would definately fight to have everything covered.
If they were so ambiguous as to NOT specify what is and what is not covered then that ambiguous language will probably be constructed in your favor.

btw I don't think that is used car at a dealer has the default 'setting' of AS IS.

That sucks. Buying a used 99 civic from a dealer I'd assume it to be in great condition.

Timing belt issue is entirely you, and has nothing to do with them, since you should have known that when you bought it.

Try oiling the door locks...

New wipers are about $15 and you can install yourself.

Radiator fluid is cheap, but chances are that thing is leaking and that isn't cheap.

Fixing windows is not free either.

Door squeek - it's old ;)

The electrical problems are more involved andt hat issue with the transmission isn't favorable either.

Goodluck...

-windows dont roll down properly (i didnt open them till i went for drive through)
-door locks dont always work (they worked when i went to try it out, but only some times they dont work properly)
-doors make really loud squeaking noise when opening and closing (only the right back, never opened that door when i tried it, my bad)
-timing belt has to be changed around 100 clicks and im at 103 (they said they wont change it, because its a "defect" with the hondas or something.)
Check engine light - OK, new development.
Button lights - ever hear of parking in the shade and trying them out? Your fault.
Anti-Theft - Your fault for not checking.
Wipers - Any idiot knows to test them regardless of whether it's raining.
Shifting noise - OK, new development.
Radiator - Your fault for not checking fluids.
Windows - Any idiot knows to try all windows.
Door Locks - OK, intermittant problem.
Doors - Any idiot knows to open and close all doors, trunklind, and hood. If it can be opened, it should be opened on the test drive.
Timing belt - "defect"? You should not be allowed to have a car. The timing belt is a routine maintenance item. Every car with a timing belt needs to have it changed periodically (some cars at as few as 30,000 miles, some up to 100,000 miles or more). You have no standing on this one at all.

Long story short, you can probably get everything except the timing belt done by them under warranty depending upon the terms and conditions. You still are very stupid to have not checked everything but in this case you're protected from yourself with some degree of liklihood. Thinking that they should change the timing belt is just plain brain-dead though. They aren't going to perform a $300-$400 maintenance item that falls under normal maintenance and they are not obligated to.
