but that is OFF TOPIC. So anything on topic there is of topic.... (just got confused)
congrats to the OP on being overly cautious owner of a x1900xt.

I'm not trying to get my post count up. I was just worried about the X1900XT dying from the heat it produces. I'm not as worried now, though.

OMG..... you bought a Powercolor card. In reality, the best thing that could happen is that in 3 years the card does die on you, then you make a warranty claim and get yourself a better card, since it's very doubtful x1900's will be produced at that time. As long as you don't physically damage that card, you shouldn't have a thing to worry about.

What's so bad about a PowerColor? They have a lifetime warranty and the X1900s will probably still be in production until at least mid 2008 because the Radeon 9800 is still in production i think. correct me on the 9800 thing if I'm wrong though.

I dont thing he meant theres something wrong with powercolor. Its just that you started the thread sounding overly dramatic about overheating when you got a 1900xt card with
a lifetime warranty. I bought the HIS xtx card and I think its only 1 year, but since i'll probably upgrade before then it really isnt that big of deal. And also I leave my pc running
24/7 and havent had any problems in the last month.

While 9800s can be bought, I do not think any company anywhere still makes them.

Nothing wrong with them at all.... I have one myself... :) The point I was trying to get across is that you have this card with a lifetime warranty, and you're worried about it running too hot and dying..... just seems kinda silly to me. Also I said the best thing would be for it to die 3 years down the road... it would be like a free upgrade, get it? I seriously doubt the x1900's will be in production by the end of '06, if the new series of cards are released this fall. The 9800 hasn't been in production for quite some time.
