Canon i470D. I hope I made a good choice.

Everything by Canon is decent from my personal experience.

why does it suck?
i was thinking about picking one up too. 30 bucks after rebate seem pretty good for a printer deal

Too bad I need to spend $20 more to buy a stupid USB cable.

When will they ever include these with the friggin' printers??

Nobody includes a USB cable UNLESS you BUY a CANON at SAMS or COSTCO. Then they throw one in.

If you buy a USB cable at a local store chances are you've been ripped off.
This is a big markup item for the likes of Officemax, depot, Best buy CC etc.
If you have a Sams or costco you can get a couple rather cheaply.

There are plenty of places on the internet that sell them for a couple dollars.

Sorry you found this out after the fact. Maybe you can take it back and find a better deal.

You think it sucks just because it didn't come with a USB cable?

Congratulations, you may be a whiner :)

Lol @ lager. I just bought a 3 pack of USB cables @ costco for $10. I'm sure you can find one for less than $20! :D

I was researching a Canon "i" series printer for a friend recently. If you do your research carefully, you will notice that vendors usually make note that "cables are not included."

Yea, you can find them cheap some places. Offhand I know they start at 10 bucks at Micro center.

As long as I've been buying and selling printers, and it's been a while, interface cables NEVER were included.
