I just bought a new condo in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. 3bd, 2.5bath, 1600sqft. Its brand new and model home with all the upgrades for a good $445,000. Its close to major mall, freeway, and the airport. Will be roughly 30mins away from work and 45mins to downtown LA. This is my first time buying and already getting cold feet.

Pics will be posted soon**

I hope you're getting PAID.

I was just in Denison, TX (small town) and there was a fully renovated house, 3,500+ sq.ft. with a huge lot, pool, guest quarters (with bath, living, bedroom, kitchenette) detached from the main house, and a 2 car garage for friggen' $198,000!

Compare that.

that's about the price of a 3bdr/2bath 1600sqft home on LI. I know CA is slightly more expensive, but that's just insane... it's just a condo.

Where do you work? I drove by Rancho C this weekend on the way to vegas. 45 minutes to downtown LA. . .that is possible if there is NO traffic.

ugh...in the bay area thats basically the same price you'll find here except without any upgrades and it'll be in a less desirable area.

what do you do that lets you buy a 450k house?

average home here is $346k that's old construction and new combined.

My brother just left Shreveport, LA, his same house that's selling for $215k under valued would be $400k+ here on less land (there are no comparables between the two on lot size).

Probably one of hte door knobs that knows nothing about money. I'm guessing intrest only or negative amortization.
