I couldn't resist the temptation. 😀

$228 CDN at Walmart. 😀

I grabbed one GC, 3 wireless controllers and 3 games - Smash Bros Melee, Sonic 2, WrestleMania X8. 😀

Gaming time! 🙂

P.S. Did anybody play the FIFA World Cup 2002 (for PC, GameCube, X-Box or PS2)? Is it any good? The graphics looked pretty crappy in the screen caps in the box, so I decided to read some reviews before I buy it.

i've got FIFA World Cup 2002 for the PC. Its pretty fun, but on Professional level by default it is just impossible. There are gameplay patches out there to make it much more playable and enjoyable. Dont' think you'd have that benefit on the Gamecube. Just rent it first if possible, though i've heard the Gamecube version is pretty good.

I have the PC version and its a great game. Pure soccer, no fluff on top, graphics and gameplay are awesome.

I have read, though, that he ps2 version (and maybe others ?) are horriable.

I say rent it if you are going to get a console version.

Welcome to the dark side joohang.

I can understand Smash Bros and Sonic 2, but Wrestlemania X8? C'mon now, you need to buy Resident Evil. Words can't describe how randy the game makes me feel. It's beautiful, plain and simple. A little easy, but it's still a site to behold. I'm about to start playing it through with the other character to see if I can get a different ending or unlock any more secrets (should be easy now that I know how to solve all the puzzles).

It looks like there are going to be some great games for this little box in the near future. Resident Evil 0, Zelda, Matroid, Mario, Eternal Darkness.....I'm gonna be poor after buying so many games.

Oh yes, there was much rejoicing in the land of Cougar when I brought home my new baby.

I looked at Resident Evil but I'll hold that off until later. I think I'll crap my pants while playing that thing. :Q

As long you get to play it at one point you won't be dissappointed. The game is very nicely done. They managed to blend fmv with real-time graphics so it looks very sharp. Like the other Resident Evils this one does have its moments where you'll soil yourself (that is IF you're the type of person that really gets into the game like I am). I'm a Resident Evil whore so the fact that the cube is getting Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil 4 (I think) just makes me randy.

Speaking of combining fmv with real-time graphics, did you ever play Fear Effect on the Playstation? Now that was an awesome game. I'm a little dissappointed that I never got to play the second one, but if they ever release it or make a new version for the Playstation 2 I am so buying that console too. That game was awesome.

All the real time shadows moving over the pre redered backgrounds in Resident Evil made me crap my pants! Especially in the one cave-like room, with the rough rocky walls that is lit up my fire from behind grilles on either side. Wow it looks really amazing watching the light dance all over the room... I think im gonna go put it on just so I can stare at it.

hymm is resident evil really worth my money AGAIN??

lets c how many resident evils have i bought over or beaten over the year...

Resident Evil: director's Cut
Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil 3
Resident Evil: Code Veronica

I don't think i am willing ot spend another 50 dollars on it. Someone can trade me if they like thought 🙂

Mind telling me how Resident Evil: Code Veronica ended? I rented the game for my dreamcast and I screwed up and never got to beat the game. Stupid me figured "I'll never need the fire extinguisher again so I can leave it in the metal detector at the compund". Great, just great, turns out I need the dumb thing near the end of the game. I was so pissed off at myself that I vowed to never play that game again.

Now back to your question, I've never played the original Resident Evil so I don't know how different the remake is, but it is most definately worth the rental. I'm sure you won't be dissappointed if you rent it.

This thing rocks. 😀

It will keep my brother and I entertained for a long time. 🙂

We just went through a tournament of Smash Bros. Melee. He kicked my ass so badly. :Q

Go joohang!

*claps*

Anyways, be sure to check out Resident Evil, haven't platyed it personnaly, but it has gotten many great review. Also, try out Rogue Squadron 2, great game, it'll keep you occupied if you have no one to play SSBM with, (another great game)

Keep your eyes open for Turok and Metroid Prime if your a fan of the FPS genre, and Star Fox Adventures looks great.

If you ever have some freinds over, be sure to rent/buy Super Monkey Ball. God, i can't count how long "Monkey Target" has kept me and my freinds up. Damn, what an enjoyable game.

<<<-Loves his Gamecube 😀
