the X50V has a much better screen (VGA resolution) and dual memory card slots, the x30 is slimmer and lighter though.
 
bought my sister one for her bday/xmas gift - used it this week while in boston, enjoyed it alot, great resolution and expandability w/ the cf slots. loved how easy it was to connect to random wifi networks i'd find around the city
