I just bought a battery backup surge protector -- Could it possibly harm my components........?

I bought a CyberPower 325VA surge protector/battery backup UPS for $10 after some rebates, but I want to make sure it won't harm my computer (i.e. not supply it with enough current, if that's possible). The UPS is rated at 325VA (185W) but is just says to make sure my monitor and computer requirements don't exceed 1200VA (660W). The Enermax power supply in my computer is 350W and my monitor is a 19" CRT; this is all I'll be plugging into the UPS, so is there any chance I could harm my components if the power went out and it dropped to just the battery?

Thanks in advance,

I wouldn't trust it because of the brand. I ONLY trust APC. I had a Tripp Lite UPS fail and spike/fry my sound card.

The better ones have a warning system that will notify you if your system draws more current than the battery can supply, in which case the battery backup would shut down if ever called upon. A 19" CRT would be a big power drain. As long as the power requirement is met, you should be OK. All you really need is a few seconds protection against momentary line voltage drops, and a few minutes protection to perform an orderly shut down in the event of a power failure.
