I just bought a 6 quart Crock Pot

Tomorrow I am making crock pot beef short ribs.

I picked up some beef short ribs (with bone) for a really good price and I needed a larger crock pot, so I decided to bite the bullet.

The recipe looks good, so I will try it tomorrow and report back on the results.

I can hardly wait.

update:

my short ribs have been cooking for 7 hours now and the house smells amazing.

The new crock pot is huge compared to my old one. So far, so good.

I think a side of mashed potatoes will round out this supper.

How do you do that without them falling apart? When you crock pot something, it usually gets very stringy and tender.

Ok, 9 hours later and I am eating them now.

OMG these are good. So freakin tender, you could cut them with your finger.

I made some garlic mashed potatoes for them.

Wow! Even the fat is good.

It sure was nice to spoil myself for once.
