Yeah, I'll second the Jam idea. Jam takes a LOT of berries, and you'll be able to use them up pretty quickly that way.

Make sure to save a few for iamme's idea, though 🙂

With 12 lbs you have a choice, preserves or freeze them.

If you don't want to get into the mess, work, and expense of canning, I would say buy a box of freezer bags, wash and slice them and freeze them. That way you can just pull out a bag let it thaw and use them.

I hope you can use them quick, strawberries go bad rather quickly in my experience.

I'm gonna take some to church tomorrow to share, and a bunch to work as well. And then I'll go get more next weekend. 😀

MORE!! Jesus Christ!

Why don't ya finish the one's you have first. Typical American behavior with the 'eyes bigger than your stomach.' But in this case it should be 'eyes bigger than your fridge.'

But to do less 'Thread Crapping' I do love strawberries myself. I think my head would explode trying to think of what to do with more than 5 pounds of strawberries. Thought strawberries seem to go bad in about 5-10 days, so you better dispose of them quickly.

Good luck.

Did you miss the post where I mentioned I was going to take them to work and church to share? Oh, wait, you couldn't have missed it because you quoted it. If I took the entire 12 lbs of fresh strawberries to work they'd be gone by 2pm. Thank you very much for your grandiose threadcrapping and stereotyping of Americans. Even though you live in MA.

Wow, the guy realized he was thread crapping and became friendly halfway through his post, and you still flamed him. What a bi...
