Congrats. I bet you get the job.

It was just a stress test. You were doomed to fail in one way or another. (Ph.D candidacy's are typically like this), they keep probing until you cannot answer.

Have a fun summer!

Real Answer for the $1,000,000 question: "1 Million? LOL, fuck that, i would have found some way to leverage the bank into an incredibly risky short term bet, collected the bonus, jumped to another bank in a couple years for a raise while the original bet blew up in your face. It's not like the risk management team actually has any power to stop me, we'll have the shareholder/taxpayer pay for everything and everyone above me collects their bonus anyway."

And...I got the offer!!!!!!!!

No idea how, but I guess I just handled the stress better than the rest of the applicants. Only 10-20% of the final round candidates got an interview, and only 20% of first round got to the final round. Feeling pretty great right now!

We knew you would. Congrats.

Very stressful job that... bunnies accept nothing less than perfection and want everything done yesterday!

Those would be exactly the kind of job I'd tell them I don't want. Having a high stress job sucks. I've been there and don't want to go back. It takes it's toll on you and can really screw up your health and your relationships. A job isn't worth that. I've told interviewers as much.

Thanks. It is for a summer analyst position for Sales & Trading. Company is a very large, prominent bank that has seen a lot of exposure to the media over the past few years.

I should find out today. We'll see what happens...

Awesome. S&T is a good place to intern in.
Internships are really viewed as an extended interview process so companies are more lenient. FT recruiting tends to be harder but you should be able to land a full time offer at the end of the internship.

Your attitude screams both success and happiness. Well done.

amen brother

I'm doing the interview process again now and I freaking hate it. They either treat you like cattle or you get some Red Bull'd up freshy who thinks he's going to change the world.

I think sometimes I'd rather do things gladiator style. Put us all in an office and let us battle to the death using nothing but office supplies. I'm pretty sure I'd go for the stapler and air duster combo.

I had a feeling after reading the OP that you did much better than you gave yourself credit. Awesome man, congrats... now go update the OP. 😛
