Still one of my favorite adventure games of all time. Wish they'd bring back the classic side-scrolling adventure games.

No doubt. I love that game. If you want some good side scrolling adventure games you should try out the Castlevania games on the GBA and DS. I've loved most of them and may be what you're looking for.

Definitely work a look.
Metroid Zero Mission for GBA as well.

Fusion is good as well.

While I was blown away and thoroughly enjoyed Metroid Prime, I still would like a highly stylized side scroller, especially if Nintendo is going to drag their asses in making a system with enough power to give the series the audio-visual presentation it deserves.

I beat Fusion a few years ago, it was fun but man, it's hard to see something that small! Tiny screen games. I don't have a GBA/DS or anything (played a friend's) so I miss out on most of those.

My favorite side scroller of all time = Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.

Next up on my "To Play" SNES games is Zelda: A Link to the Past. Then probably either Mario RPG or Yoshi's Island.

SOTN was awesome on so many levels. I like to think of it as the Metroid of the Castlevania series, except Metroid doesn't flip the entire game map on you midway through the game. The layout and design of the SOTN Castle was simply a work of art and virtual engineering.

I bought it on PSN just so I can keep the disc I have in pristine condition. That's how much I like the game. Currently at 192% completion (I think to go higher you have to glitch the game in a couple of places). Dual Rings of Varda, Crissaegrim, and nearly fully leveled Sword Familiar FTW!

I've SotN on Xbox Live, bought it the day it was released and was #4 on the leaderboards for score/speed for the first week. I've played through it a time or two since then but haven't really rushed.

Nintendo, are you paying attention?

Give Super Metroid the BC: Rearmed treatment
Give Super Metroid the BC: Rearmed treatment
Give Super Metroid the BC: Rearmed treatment

Or at least create a new Metroid on WiiWare that isn't an FPS...

Heh... that's the exact same set-up I have on my guy. The game is completely broken at that point. You can kill the final boss in literally a couple of seconds. IIRC the max percent completetion is 200.6%. You're pretty close, so you should go ahead and finish it out. It's an achievement :)

If SotN you really should consider getting a DS. The DS Castlevania games are the closest thing to SotN since SotN was released. There's a new one coming out this next month.
