I just ate the best apple ever.

Yessiree, it was mighty tasty. Went to Wegmans grocery and saw these dark, blood red apples I've never noticed before. Empire apples. I'm a Golden Delicious man meself, because I don't like the waxy red skins. But this apple wasn't waxy, and yet the skin was such a beautiful color. So I picked one out and I just ate it. Mmmm, such succulent sweetness has never been had before. Now I need to know where these came from (no sticker!)

The best apple on the planet is the New Zealand Royal Gala - bar none. Washington galas taste like watered down sugar water in comparison. Look for Enza or New Zealand stickers on the apple; and make sure it's labled Gala. That is all.

Actually I think NY state apples are pretty good. I've tried Galas from here before and they taste pretty good. Fujis are just a bit too sweet and too watery (but good for kids I guess.)
