ruths chris steakhouse was great in my opinion. I only take girls there for dinner though. i cant just stroll in whenever i want a steak.

You need to try some other places. Ruth's Chris was one of the worst IMO and I tried it twice. They are down there with Smith and Wollensky. Morton's is pretty good though.

For $65, I'd better have an orgasm while I eat the steak. I'm a simple man, just give me a top sirloin and a grill and I'll be happy.

The only time you'll catch me eating a $65.00 steak (or a $65.00 anything for that matter) is when someone else is paying for it.

...and it tasted like meat. Nothing more. Supposed to be such a great restaurant too. Maybe I just don't appreciate a good, aged steak. Hmmm.

kobe?

ruth's chris?

Rib Eye, rare + side baked potato with everything + side brocolli = heaven.

Ruth's Chris was good the first time I went there. I haven't liked it as much since then.

I still think Stoney River makes the best steak in Atlanta.

I have to agree with this. Ruth's Chris is Ala Carte as well. At Stoney River, $25 gets you the filet with sides. If you get the filet, you *have* to get the japanese horseradish on it. (If they still do it, this was 4+ years ago)

*EDIT*
Another thought here, for ~ $65 you can get ALL the meat you can eat at Fogo de Chao in Buckhead.

If it's made of meat, they most likley serve it 😀

Fogo de Chao is awesome. Expensive, but well worth the trip.

It's much cheaper at lunch (under 40 maybe?), but you might want to take the rest of the day to sit on the couch and digest. 🙂

Exactly. That's the problem. If you are going to go there for lunch, be prepared to take the rest of the day off. 😀

Morton's double filet is the best I've had out. It's ~ $35.00 for the steak itself, then maybe another $20.00 - $25.00 for your sides and appetizer. I usually come out of there with a bill around $70.00 - $80.00 pp.

A 16 oz filet hits the spot though.

Sam and Harry's filet = Heaven on earth, and well worth $65. You don't go to Sam and Harry's unless you plan on spending a good $100 a person.

Damn, I would love to try one of these Sam & Harry steaks. No fancy steak places I know of here in laurel, MD. However, I will be making a nice steak tonight..mmmm

You will have to check S&H's out sometime. It's located right in the heart of D.C.

Our best local steak joint burned down a couple months ago and then the police shot the owner dead a few weeks ago 🙁

$65 just for the steak? Kinda pricey.

I ate a good steak at a place called Arthur in New Jersey. It was pretty good. Not sure how much it was because it was a group and the company paid for it.

Down south here, we have some good steaks (Cajun style) but I don't think they are $65 a pop.

El, you really must try this because it's puerco pibil. It's a slow-roasted pork, nothing fancy. It just happens to be my favorite, and I order it with a tequila and lime in every dive I go to in this country. And honestly, that is the best it's ever been anywhere. In fact, it's too good. It's so good that when I'm finished, I'll pay my check, walk straight into the kitchen and shoot the cook. Because that's what I do. I restore the balance to this country. And that is what I would like from you right now. Help keep the balance by pulling the trigger.

Recipe on the extras for the movie made me drool incessantly

Arthur's?

The steak there is the worst! All it is is big and cheap.

every time I go to the Keg I wonder why people pay so much for steak that tastes like well cooked grocery store meat with moms secret sauce on top ... NOT WORTH THE $ !!!!!

The Keg is the worst steakhouse I've ever ate at. Flavorless tough meat.
