I just accidently stepped on a frog or toad!

It's another heavy rain and I was taking my garbage out to the curb. As I was coming back, I thought I saw something on the sidewalk but it was too dark to know what it was. I thought it was a leaf or something so I just walked over it. But I immediately felt that it was not a leaf -- it felt kind of squishy. So I turned around to see what the heck did I just stepped on and I saw the little guy hop away into the grass.

I followed him and touched him to make sure he was okay. When I touched him, he hopped some more.

I live near a creek so I sometimes see frogs or toads when it's raining.

If he dies it's no big deal.

I have always liked frogs when I was a kid. I had some as pets. I think they're cute.

It's a wild animal, no matter what we'd like to think, they die all the time, as long as you had no mailcious intent, there is no foul.

Not as bad as when I step on big snail. Big, as in 3-4"! (Walking in the dark, hear loud CRUNCH--Ew!)
