I jumped to a X2 4400+ :) and it runs at 30C idle on Air!

I finally stepped up and Upgraded my AMD Athlon 64 4000+ to a dual core setup. And wow... The difference is huge!!!!!! I can't believe how this thing runs. And get this; idle this CPU sits at 30C on an air cooled system. And under full load never peaks over 35C.... I am currently only running stock speeds!

30C idle is ok, but not abnormal. What HSF?

35C load is pretty decent though!

More importantly whats the actual in game play like? You getting more FPS? Things running smoother or the same? the 4000+ isnt a slouch with games so I'm curious how it compares to the 4400 X2 in that respect.

The difference in multi-threaded apps will be huge, otherwise the difference will be minimal.
