Hooray, just in time for halloween, and my friend's wedding.

Somehow it got here in one day when i chose the free 10 day method, and my friend who paid 5 bucks more for shipping got hers today too.

Congrats! What lens? A good lens will make all the difference in the world with a digital SLR. Might I recommend the 50mm f/1.4? It makes a great portrait lens, is fast and has excellent bokeh.
 
someday i will be a rich man and be able to afford an[sic] digital SLR and a lens that costs twice as much so I'm not laughed at as a n00b.
 
I'm hoping to get myself one of these for Christmas. I have the Rebel 2000 (film SLR) and absolutely love it!
