more money, better bennies, more flexible hours,a learning opportunity.. cross your fingers for me, I really want this position ! It's within my current company, I think I have a chance because I didn't formally apply yet, just expressed verbal interest yet they still hauled me in for an interview🙂

GL to you, I am doing the very same thing so maybe we both will have new positions in the new year.

The new job will require the ability to balance the needs and interests of several different groups of people, tech skills and political ability, it sounds like fun to me🙂

I did not get the position, it went to two people with more experience and senority than myself....

However, there's a silver lining to this, my boss said that It wasn't that I'm not good, I was encouraged to apply because I am.. and that the 2 others moving into new positions left him hours to play with.. my hours will be upgraded to full time status, and a new person will be brought in.

This means guranteed hours, no more having to bid for extra shifts, I'll move up a notch on the seniorty pole and best of all my cost for my health insurance premiums will go down by something like $225 per month,I'll also get more holiday and vacation hours 🙂

I will also be able to continue helping out when needed in the position I didn't get, it will increase my knowledge and experience level and hopefully put me in line someday if another position opens.Overall a win,win imho 🙂

I'm sure this interview process also exposed your capabilities to more people in the company and that will beneficial to you in the long run.

BTW-This pecking order of benefits/seniority/bidding on overtime seems to be beyond me.😕
