I installed router and now cant check e-mail

I just installed a Dlink 4 port router(model: DI-804). It works fine except for the fact that I cant check e-mail through the account that is supplying the service. Service is @Home. If I bypass the router I can check it. Does anyone know the problem? BTW I can check my other e-mail accounts with the router hooked up. Does the Domain suffix need to be changed or modified? Thanks in advance.

EDIT: is there another setting in the router that needs to be changed?
