Colt:
You should get those service packs, they fix bugs within the Win NT 4 operating system, as well as give more hardware support, adds more stability within the service packs, security fixes, and some other things.

I personally think that it's important to get the service packs myself, infact, im about to install the Windows 2000 SP2. (Just installed 2k PRO).

Other than that, make sure you reinstall icq so I can still talk to you over that :/

Get the service packs. SP6a was the last release for NT4, but there are "hotfixes" for specific bugs. NT4 is quite stable and works well, but the somewhat limited hardware support turned me off (USB is the key for me).

Somewhat, check some of the documentation on what the service packs do, but there is no reason not to upgrade.

We'll, if you dont love linux, then you deserved to be hit over the head with a canoloupe.
You don't see windows advertising themselves as open source, do ya? If they did, we'll they'd still suck because linux owns them :)
