I installed an Intel Wireless base station and mouse..now new hardware is found everytime I restart.

I'm running Win XP Pro. I recently installed an Intel Wireless Base Station w/mouse and gamepad. Now everytime I restart the computer I'm getting the new hardware found notice. There is no hardware found so I'm getting the big ?. Is there a way that I can tell the OS stop looking for this non existent hardware???
