I have the ports 6112-6119 open . I can host if I am plugged into the router directly. But that option is gone. I have to use the wireless now. Is this a common issue?

The ONLY change in my system is the wireless card. I cannot find a solution anywhere.

How did you host before you installed the card?

I was connect via cat5 to the router. I forwarded ports and was able to host for years.
What are you asking exactly?

Change your port forwarding on the router to the IP address that the wireless adapter is using. Then make sure that the Windows firewall (or whatever software firewall you are using) has the same ports open for the wireless adapter and not just for the wired connection.

Coz if you are using the same computer with a second or another card, I could also guess that it is an issue of the open ports not pointing to the correct IP any more.

Actually if your Router does not do IP reservation you are better of assigning static IP to any computer that acts as a server and depends on ports opening.
