I inherited 106 music cds..now what?

A friend of a friend had their apartment complex burned down. This was around 6ish.... so no one was hurt. At anyrate, His entire cd collection is ruined. I was there gawking at his ex-room, and looks like most of the cds are still good. it's just the case and covers are damaged.

I end up taking home 106 cds no covers and no case. I washed them last night. Now, where is a good place to get cheap cd cases?
not the slim kind from Costco.

Also, he listed those cds as damaged items to his rental insurance. Would the insurance company not pay if I took the cds?

Why not just get a cd wallet? It would be a lot cheaper and a lot easier to store that many CD's in a wallet than stacked 12 feet high ;)

no cd wallets.... not for all 106 cds! i have a 20 cd wallet, filled with backups for my car and that's it.

I want real cases because I just got a new color printer, and I want to print some covers for them. :)

my rack is a bit bare at this point. need to fill it up.


let's see, I recall seeing tons of RUSH, REM, Smashing Pumpkins, Robert Miles, er Judybats(?), Westly Willis(?), Orbital, Enigma....
I'll have to go thru them again....

i'm pretty sure most computer stores and some music stores sell jewel cases in bulk. that's a lot of work though, more than i would do :p

1979, Everlasting Gaze, Bullet with Butterfly Wings, and Ava Adore are all great songs too. Man am I glad I went to the Smashing Pumpkins concert when they stopped at Purdue.

you're gonna make covers for all of these?? wow... thats a lotta work.. i dunno where to buy full sized jewel cases but here are some really cool cases called c-shells.. they're real convenient and sell in bulk there if you change your mind about making covers...

just check bestbuy's webpage. and saw 10-pak regular cases for 0.99 crossed out and something about price is lower than that if you click on buy it..... the actual price turn to 6.99!!!! what a ripeoff.

so your friend didn't want the cds anymore b/c the cases/liner notes were ruined? is that what happened, or did you just pillage the apartment for anything you could get your hands on? at any rate, good job. :)

These you mean?

Print screen & zoom in on it, I'm pretty sure it was originally an 8. The line through it made the sides look straight, like a zero.

[EDIT]Yup, when added to my cart it said $2 savings. Also if you look at the source code it's clearly an 8.[/EDIT]

Get them for free from your friends that thown them away to put in cases or from their blank cdrs.

why don't you just go to a music store and speak with the manager for a special discount? i used to work at a music store, and when a customer bought a lot of the same item we'd give like a 10% bulk discount.
