Later, I found out that they sell the same freakin can of coffee in our local vietnamese grocery store. for the same price!!!

what a waste of energy carrying that can all the way from New Orleans.

Now you just need to get hammered, stumble home at 5am, and brew a cup. It will be just like you're in NO.

I got some food from Mother's too, and that place was so overrated! The gumbo was terrible. the fried oyster had no taste.

However, the charcoal grilled oyster from Drago's was exceptional, I gorged myself on 2 dozens of that.

I dig on Mother's, but I've only been there twice. I loves me some Frankie and Johnny's.

Yeah....I keep hearing about Cafe Du Monde like it's something special. I like Chickery coffee just because it's stronger, but wouldn't go out of my way for it. I'm pretty sure Cafe Du Monde has a major distribution system setup because I've seen it for sale in quite a few grocery stores in the south...even smaller ones.

Drago's Charbroiled Oysters are the food of the gods. I ate there twice while in town for Christmas/New Years.

Yeah, seems like it's pretty big in Vietnamese community. the yellow/orange can is always next to the red, white blue, french espresso can on the display.

I actually like the french donut better than the coffee. i think the "chickory" actually makes the coffee a little smoother? and gives it a chocolate like taste?

I didn't know that stuff was special. We have it in one of the local grocery stores, here.
