I'm not sure exactly what you're story is, but it seems sketchy at best to me.

These are the things I have learned from your post for the past couple years:

You have a car that can run with just about anything on the road. It's a 98 accord with a h22a motor swapped into it, that you seemingly know nothing about (as evidenced in this thread).

You also have a hotter wife (picture has been posted, not bad), nicer house (this one or this one?) that the mortgage is almost paid off on, and you have more money than 90% of AT (reference can be found in same thread as h22a motor).

Now you manage to do all of this while having a situation like this and working at a computer repair shop.

You also carry the cross of being a drug addict, you fancy yourself a recovering addict but that's just a bunch of bullshit. This thread which everyone knows about has thoes details, but also links to this thread where you admit to being full of shit.

So are you following me so far? It shouldn't be too hard unless you have a hard time at keeping your fabricated internet personas in order (common problem with rank amateurs like you). Ok since were on the same page, let's move on.

Now you claim to have a mortgage that is almost paid off, yet you just got your first credit card, in order to "build credit". I understand that mortgages were easy to get as a subprime borrower the past oh, 5 years. Though being 22 now, that would have made you rather close to being a minor at the time where you would even be let into a bank. Not to mention you must have been making big payments to pay off a mortgage in just a couple years. I guess that computer shop pays huge huh? Or it could be that your "parents are holding the mortgage", I'm not sure because you can't keep that straight.

At first you were an employee at a computer repair shop, now you're the owner (would you do business with this?) of a rapidly expanding computer repair shop. I hope you have a good accountant and hopefully a secretary, because your grammar is atrocious, math skills are non-existant and you simply can't keep anything straight.

I suppose I could keep going on, but why bother? You already know how much bullshit you spew here, so does the userbase as well as the moderators.
So I will summarize for you.

It boils down to you being a stereotypical post-teen, low self esteem, drug addled, sewer dwelling poser. I'd venture to guess you are some form of trust fund baby, or at least are blessed with semi-tolerant wealthy parents. Having wealthy parents is almost certainly in play here. How else do you explain an early 20s drug addicted entry level tech monkey who claims to own a house, has a history of moderately riced up cars and a stay-at-home wife with a child? I suppose that your claims of billing $300/day at "your" business is decent money in a trailer-park, but not so much for your gated community on a golf course.

So basically (if you actually exist in real life) you are an early 20s pill-popping scum bag, who knocked up his early 20s trailer-park queen girlfriend, has a decent history of drug arrests, work at a computer repair shop and get your kicks by posting complete bullshit on an internet forum.

On top of the fact that you can't keep any of your stories straight to save your life, you can't even form a sentence properly or spell for shit. Yet you run a successful business above the board, maintained a $500/week drug habit, took care of your daughter and constantly end up in jail. Right.

I don't have to tell you this, because you already know, you're just another bottom-feeding loser. Do you think your parents would continue to support you and your illegitimate "family" if they knew the shit you do, or even the endless bullshit you tell others? I'm sure that at this point in your life you were allowed to install a lock on the basement door, so that probably keeps them away.

At first I really felt for you when you posted about your drug problems and the steps you were taking on seeking help. Now I have no sympathy for you at all. You're just another shitbag drug-sucking child who thinks they can do it all. I hope for the worst for you.

Also, I have a 1999 VW Jetta that registers 160 on the speedo... think I can hit it?

Maybe if you draft behind a Z06?

My 1995 Taurus with the big block kept up with a Z06 until the light turned green.

Like to hear some lovely stories about amusement parks, critical components in automobile steering/braking, trains, planes, nuclear reactors?

Why do people change the way they post when being 'professional' or was this a cut and paste?

Anyway bias-ply vs radial is pretty different and if these tires are so dangerous where is all the carnage happening?

Most people I see appear to drive their tires into the belts. I usually replace mine as soon as they approach the wear bars. I don't see many blow outs.

When did Bob make this statement? 50's. 60's, 70's, etc and in regards to what type of tire.

First of all, mad props to Sampson and WaTaGuMp and zanejohnson, who, after all, made this whole qwnage possible.

No drugs, no Vette to race, but I once aired out my totally stock '86 Celica GT-S to between 130 and 135mph on the Pa turnpike between Philadelphia and Harrisburg. This was a naturally aspirated 4 banger, albeit 16v.

I really loved that car, it was pretty damn fuel efficent, too (in saner, general use). Now, I know just about all speedo's run optimistic, but my experience has been that the jap one's run less optimistic (just like, generally, the toyos and datsuns I had ran much cooler than older American cars), but, still, like I said, no drugs involved.

What absolutely amazed me (and gave me the balls to run it up) was how rock solid it was.

My only previous experiences over 100 were in a '67 stock 289 Mustang (NOT confidence inspiring at all) and 160kmh (100+mph) in an Opel wagon on the Italian autostrada (better than the 'stang, but still pushing it) and just around 100 as a young 'un on my Mach 3 Kawasaki, with traffic coming up (absolutely frightening, to glance down and see the pavement rushing by like that).

Lol, in my GT-S, I kept flitting my eyes down to the speedo, and I did see over 130, nearing 135. This car was not particularly fast off the line, but had genuine punch left to pass at 70 just downshifting, even to 4th, let alone 3rd, which was unlike the asthmatic geezers I was more used to.

So, resident car experts, my question is, was I hallucinating?

No. I made 141mph in a 3rd gen Prelude Si with nothing but an intake and ECU mod. 5th gen with Jackson SC and ECU made 155 easy. These were indicated speeds, which can be pretty far off (as much as 10mph easily). If you've run a quality 16V DOHC 4-cylinder lightweight car before, you know that they can be deceptively fast. Regardless, FWD < RWD for anything much over ~220hp.

Some things strike me as funny about this thread. I'm a car nut, so

(1)- It's not hard at all to believe an H22 Accord would do 140. Or to believe that a late-80s C4 Vette (auto?) would be a pretty even game. A boosted H22 Civic/Accord/Prelude would give even C5s a hard time. Mid 12s in the quarter is common (as was my 5g lude).

(2)- The latter years of the C4 got *MUCH* faster, and by the C5, Chevy was dead serious about making them stupidly fast cars :)

(3)- If you want serious performance (ie; 10 seconds or better), get a Vette/Stang/Z28 of reputable year/model, and go at it. You can only take FWD 4-bangers so far.

lol I have no idea who Zane johnson is, judging from his posts his maturity is somewhat .. lacking.

What I do think is interesting is that many of the replies have basically nothing to do with the specifics of these vehicles, but are mostly flames one way or another. That's why my reply was topical to the subject being discussed.
