I hope this Game pwnes

It will be decent as it's Mythic's third go-round with an MMO and they're improving on the formula they had in DAoC (the one WoW ripped off) rather than starting from scratch.

Then again, this will be like the eleventy billionth game where you log on and kill things and level up and then go kill things some more, so take it for what it's worth.

And, BTW, my thread about this three months ago was better.

3rd? Are you counting that Rome in space game they were working on?

It better be good! It's costing $50million to make. WoW was $70mil i believe.

Of course money isn't the only factor that determines if something is good or not, but it means they have more resources and thus a better chance at it. Do a search for 'warhammer' and look at my vids.

Pure PvP MMO's fail miserably. Look at Planetside and Shadowbane.

PlanetSide was an FPS, it was never meant to succeed because we all can play those online for free. It was a techdemo and bug checker for EQ2 and SWG. Trust me they made their money back by the bucket full on that game.

Pure Shadowbane sucked because their where no PVP less servers and no limit on the people who can kill you. If the Model it after Daoc where the Goal is PVP but the build up is PVE then it will be succesful.

No, before DAOC, they'd released an MMO.....I think it was text based or something though.

Na. I played Shadowbane for a while and the major problem were the bugs. It made the end game--building a defending and sieging cities--a total joke.

Believe it or not, I solo'd about 75% of the time and was only attacked randomly a handful of times, but that may have been because I've played so many games I know how not to look like a guppy.
