I bought one HP 5 Si Mx LaserJet for $10 and got four more for free. I got so many in order to harvest their toner. Now I have one, my parents have one, I gave one to a friend, I sold one to another friend, and the last one was used for spare parts, but actually still works. Here are some stats on these babies:

Introduced: 6-Nov-1995
HP LaserJet 5Si MX printer U.S. introduction price: US$4,899
Here is a picture of one (scroll down)
HP LaserJet 5SI, and 5SI MX printer description: The HP LaserJet 5Si, and 5Si MX printers are high-volume, 600 dots per inch (dpi), and 24 ppm machines designed to handle the printing needs of large networks and departments. Each features advanced paper handling capacity: up to 1,100 sheets standard input and up to 3,100 sheets with optional accessories. An optional Multi-Bin Mailbox increases output capacity from the standard 600 sheets to 2,600 sheets. Each printer handles a variety of media sizes including Letter, Legal, A4, Executive, JIS B4, JIS B5, 11 x 17, A3 and multiple envelope sizes. All interfaces on both printers are bidirectional and simultaneously active, switching automatically to the port that is receiving data.

OK, I tell you now. My college had a sale on used office furniture, and mixed in were these big old printers. I asked "how much," and the lady said "make me an offer." So I said $10. I went home, looked up the specs on the printer, then went back for more. The lady told me to just take them. 🙂 Moral of the story, if you are still in college, stop by the admin offices every once in a while and inquire about sales.
