I :heart; my Nokia 3620

Well I recently got a bluetooth adapter and began playing around with new things to do with the phone. First and foremost, I was going to need games, check. I then thought I'd like to try to get it to connect to the internet and see if I can browse some websites, check one, check two, until I get GPRS service, I have the phone dialing into a PPP connection directly which it handles just fine.

As I began looking into more programs, there's tons of stuff to get for this phone, I currently have a Gameboy Color emulator installed, which works great 😉 an MP3 player, and even a remote control program that lets me control Winamp through Bluetooth. See? I can even browse through my playlist and create my own from the phone. Not bad if I want to change songs from the other room, not that I'm *that* lazy or anything. I read a post from one person that broadcasted his TV card on the net and streamed it at 15 fps with sound through his phone! Fun stuff 😀

There's even a version of Doom available 🙂

Yes, the phone's big, but damn it's a lot of fun to play with. Anyone else here have a 3600 series phone or another Symbian based phone?

Nice. 🙂 I traded my 3650 for a Sidekick and couldn't be happier -although the 3650 did kick much butt. 🙂

I was this close *pinches fingers together* to getting a color sidekick when they first came out. I decided I wanted something that's a better phone (something I can hold up to my ear), if you're an earpiece kinda guy then it's an awesome phone 😀 How's the web browsing on that thing? I only got to toy around with one for about 30 seconds once, lol

if i were to actually get a phone w/ web service i think the only one i could deal w/ is the tmobile sidekick - and it is the suxxor as a phone... so it would b like spending $30/month just for internet browsing when im not at home

Whoa, can I put any of this cool stuff on my Sony Ericsson phone?? Does it require Symbian OS or will it run on any Java/J2ME equipped phone?

Most of the games I have are Java/J2ME games, so I'd expect those to work. Check out howardforums.com and ask around there, there's a lot of good info on that board, just make sure you post in the right place 🙂
