so i watched i heart huckabees. i knew nothing about it, but my friends said we should see it. wasnt quite in the mood for a movie.

anyhow one of my friends seemed to enjoy it.

i'd say it had maybe 4 amusing moments, many "please make it stop" moments. and a lot of times where you just sat there thinking, wtf is going on and why is this so retarded moments.

seriously this might be the worst movie of the year, possibly the last 2 or 3 years for me.

anyone else agree?

My wife tried to drag me to that last night...that movie looked like a dud in the previews.

glad I talked her into just renting a movie instead.

You should have used the title "I don't heart Huckabees."
Seriously, such a great opportunity...squandered for lack of creativity. 🙁

meh, I didn't love it, but I thought it was refreshing compared to some of the tripe you see in the mainstream these days. Don't get me wrong, I still catch plenty of big name movies, I just thought it was nice to have something different. I thought the pacing and casting of the movie was excellent...writing was pretty good...however, overall there wasn't much to take away from the movie, so there isn't much of a lasting value to it.

I enjoyed those 2 hours.

I liked the movie. Naomi Watts is hot, Mark Wahlberg is funny, and I've been a big fan of Jason Schwartzman since he was drumming for my favorite band (Phantom Planet). It had its moments.

IMDB:

Plot Outline: A husband-and-wife team play detective, but not in the traditional sense. Instead, the happy duo helps others solve their existential issues, the kind that keep you up at night, wondering what it all means.

It doesn't take a rocket surgeon to figure out that this movie would suck based on the plot outline alone...

Couldn't you tell by the previews that it sucked?

i never saw the previews, my friends just kinda said, yeah it looks good and i trusted them.

damn me and my trust.

i think all anyone has been able to say so far is "it had its moments" like mark wahlberg and the main character hitting each other in the face with a rubber ball.

but yeah they were only a few moments. basically every scene with dustin hoffman and his wife in the movie unfortunately were horrible.

I thought it was pretty good. It had some truly hilarious moments, and did a fairly decent job at putting the existential/nihilist thought process into a comic film.
