i heard about medical distributed computing..

i heard there was a new project that people could support medicine by running something like SETI but instead of analysing observatories it would analyse medical data in hopes of finding cures to diseases.

if anybody else has heard of this please post the link or say what they know

I believe it's called UD, or something of the like. There are people in here that use this program, however I am not one of them. I'm sure someone'll be around shortly who can help you out. Good luck!

we should run a program like that at AnandTech. i think helping out the medical community is a lot more important than analysing stuff from an observatory...
