I heard about EVGA's video card problem

Did it just effect some 7900 series or was some 7600GT's effected aswell? Reason why I ask is because I was offered a 7600GT for $120 shipped and am not sure if it's a good idea.

What was the problem exactly and how can you tell if you have defects?

The problem was that some of the EVGA 7900s (mostly) had inferior parts. Soemthing to do with memory controllers or something. This lead to overheating/artifacting/etc. EVGA said they fixed the problem, so you shouldn't worry. You can always RMA.

Their 7600gs had a problem too, but AFAIK, their 7600gt is fine.
