That person is an idiot. Sound like one of those fools who thinks big buisnesses are all evil and out to screw everyone jsut to make money. Also, secondly, a cure for cancer would make a ******-TON of money.

The oil companies have a gizmo that goes in your fuel line that makes your car get 70 mpg too but they are hiding it so people buy more gas. It is the truth, I swear. Someone told me this back in the early 70s so they have been sticking it to us for decades.

It's still up in the air, but it is the case that big pharma-companies don't have a lot to gain from researching it, so it'll take a bit more time for academic-types to pick up the slack.

Whether or not it's actually a cure-all hasn't been determined, but it does seem like a good possibly candidate for a good cancer treatment option.

My $0.02.

Btw, there were a couple of topics on this previously.
 
yes there was some noise recently about a known substance that showed promise. people were suggesting thorough medical trials were not being pursued bc it was unpatentable and no company would see payoff from doing the research. forget what it was called though...

No.

However...the closest cure you can get is prevention. There's several chemicals in stuff like broccoli, spinach, garlic, green tea, etc that are documented by mountains of solid scientific studies to greatly increase your body's ability to kill off cancer cells.

A cure for cancer won't make anybody any money, except for the researcher who does the definitive work determining it's role in killing cancerous cells will gain lots of notoriety, although no royalties, if the drug or chemical is not patent-able material, which this molecule isn't.

But seriously, about the link, like they said there is not any good trials to show that it will work, only in a petri dish. Well, bleach kills cancer in petri dishes too, maybe we should all drink down a some bleach to rid ourselves of cancer?
 
Not a cure. I believe that they have learned the mechanism by which cancer cells spread. A gigantic breakthrough, but, not a cure.

they have cures for some cancers depending on which ones. lukemia is one that different types are treatable. the also could remove the cancerous area(aka testis or breast)

Dude... the NIH, et al would fund clinical trials in a heartbeat were such a 'cure' to exist.

Actually you are close. It was a normally aspirated carburator that got 50 mpg and was on most Honda's. Of course they have since been removed from market.
