when I'm planning a vacation, we usually look at the best restaurants at our destination city and figure out which we need to make reservations for months in advance, which we'll need to reserve a week in advance, and which we can keep in our back pocket to just show up to.

You don't need an app. Just an intention to mark something meaningful in your life. Anything you look forward to: birthday.... date... anniversary of the Acc-U-Jack patent...
