I have three W-2's for last year. One for an old crappy job that I worked for the beginning of the year, one for my main job, and one for my new job that has taken over.

None of them have sent me my W-2 yet. They have till the end of the month legally to send them out, right? What is with them taking so long, its ridiculous.

I just haven't been in debt for a while and have some money sitting on a credit card. I did end up making it interest-free for a while, but it's a feeling for me of something that I don't like.

You guys get yours yet?

I have no W-2. Well, I've got one coming, but it's not here. Actually, knowing the owner of the company, and the right hand man of said owner, it's probably not coming yet.

1) You can still fill out your taxes, and get everything lined up. Then when the W2 comes, staple it on and mail it that minute. All the information you need to do the calculations is on your paystubs anyways.

2) Some people claim you can mail in your taxes without the W2. I wouldn't recommend it, but I hear it is successful.

3) They have to mail it by the end of Januarary. You don't have to receive it by then. It could be much later when you finally get the W2.

4) Next time, have them withhold less, so you will owe a bit of money instead. That way, this will never again be a problem for you. You'll be mailing in your taxes in April instead, as late as possible without getting a fine.

5) Even if they are late with the W2, I think the fine is minimal. There really isn't an incentive to get it out early. Edit: I just looked it up. The penalty is $50 per employee for being late. And your employer can get an extension to giving you your W-2 penalty free if your employer simply sends the IRS a letter explaining why.

Let me ask you guys a question. My college (UCF) should also send out a form that states how much I spent on tuition etc, right? Is it necessary to send that in with my tax return? I believe I did send it in with it one time and not another.

I suppose that is another form I am waiting on.

What is the number of that one?

On the bright side, I have my home tax stuff in.
