I haven't played PC video games in almost a year, until this past weekend.

I haven't played pc games in a while but I couldn't resist picking up the orange box this past weekend. I haven't stopped playing since, it reminds me of the days of when bf1942 first came out.

Is anyone else addicted to this game? I can't wait to get off of work to play more. The SO is starting to be concerned, she thought my days of pc gaming were over.

Shouldn't it remind you of when TF1 first came out?

Ok, so you were addicted to two games in the Orange box, but what about TF2, the game he was referring to.

On topic: it's a great game. I need to do a format/reinstall before I can play properly, as it keeps crashing on my machine.

I reinstalled Saturday morning to get ready for it. I am still running a radeon 1800xt and it runs great.

When I got the first half life I only played CS, back in the early beta days. Hell, I never even played the first TF or single player half life. CS had me hooked.

TF2 is ridiculously fun!
I concur.

 Over my lifetime I probably only played 3 fps games that are on my 'fun' list.

UT
DoD
and now TF2

I used to love TF1 - and CS, but i haven't gotten a chance, my main complaint is, I just want to buy TF2...i don't want a colored box, i want to buy TF2, nothing else. whatever exec thought these color coded boxes and steam was a good idea should be shot.

How old are you? Becasue TF1 was first created for Quake. I am not talking about TF source.

My first two video games were Delta Force and then Counter Strike beta. I played Counter Strike only until bf1942. I have never played any tf, quake or source.

You can get TF2 off of steam for like $29.

TF2 had a weird issue on my PC where it kept changing the resolution on initial execution and it just kept doing that until I opened the task manager. I think it knew I was going to kill it :p. Once I set it to 1680x1050 and windowed mode, it was fine.

TF2 rocks. the entire black box rocks. (yes i know that it doesn't exist but i'm refering to TF2, portal and Tf2.) i must admit that i'm now listening to the still alive song from the end of portal. it nearly cried from laughter from that game.

I played TF Classic all the time back in college. Most people were into CS, but I didn't like it as much. I mostly wanted to blast away, not be stealthy.
