Update: me and my baby cousin, yesterday



As per this thread, I got braces in April 2005. For the last 3+ years, I really haven't liked to smile. Sure I love titanium as much as the next guy, but it just doesn't work so well when it's strapped to your teeth.

Today I FINALLY got them off! I forgot how my teeth looked, I hadn't seen them in so long. They're unbelievable though.. absolutely stunning 🙂 My orthodontist did some damn good work :thumbsup:

And to boot, I got my motorcycle license yesterday!

This is easily the best day of my life as far as the past 3 years go. Now, to charm some women with that deadly smile.... 😀
 
When I got mine off, it looked like my teeth were really BIG. They were huge! It was just a perception thing, having all of the metal out of there and seeing a lot more white.
 
Wear the retainer. I got my braces off at the beginning of high school and didn't wear a retainer because it was a hassle. Waste of money for the braces. My teeth shifted back noticeably.

Wish I had worn the retainer.

i have polycarbonate retainers (basically, what the invisalign braces look like) that my orthodontist said to wear at night, or if things move, increase wear duration. i wear my contacts at night anyway (yes i know it's odd, but i don't have your typical lenses) so adding 1 more thing to put in really isn't all that hard 🙂

no, i had absolute 0 idea that i had acne on my face. thanks for the pointer. i'll make sure to submit future pictures to you, just to make sure that your eagle-eye sight can scan my face for anything that might resemble a pimple. 😉

Yeah, wear your retainer. I only wore my bottom one for like 2 months and my top one for like 8 months. Bottom has shifted fairly noticeably, and top has shifted just a tiny bit.
