i have two useless hard drives

2 western digital drives just died on me, a 100gb and a 120gb. thats not saying too much as almost all my drives from that era were wd (now mostly seagate).

i am sad and i need ideas for what to do with them

😉 Not worth much more effort than putting them in the trash. I'd make sure that they were degaussed if any sensitive data were stored on them.

If either is still under warranty, they'd likely replace them with higher capacity drives (happened to me - 100 extra gigs for free!)

How so? Most drives other that Seagate have only a 1 year warr..
