I've been waiting for UPS since 5PM, more like 11AM once I found out it was "Out For Delivery", but realistically I knew it wouldn't come until the evening. So I've been trying to make sure that atleast one person is around incase UPS came, afterall I'm dying to get ahold of my 600m. 8 rolls around and I actually see the UPS truck go into the apt complex across the street as I was walking outside. Being that I just saw the truck I figured that it MUST be coming. Afterall they normally guarantee ground shipments by 7. After half an hour I give UPS a call to see what was up. They say that the driver may be running late but it will definately be delivered today. "The drive HAS to attempt ALL deliveries." 9 rolls around. Then 10. It is now 10:30 and I'm like, "What the hell?" I call UPS again and they tell me it will not be delivered today. What bullsh1t? I'd rather they just f#cking tell me that to begin with. FedEx is so much better than UPS.

End of rant.

Update:

I call UPS again this morning and there was no update on the package. It still looks like above. I finally get transfered to a manager like I wanted and they tell me the news. "I'm sorry sir but your package is lost." How to f#ck do you lose a package on a truck? Sounds like the driver will be having fun with my new 600m. F#ck UPS. Now I have to sit through hours of hold w/ dell in order to get another laptop sent out to me. I'm just irritated that I have to put up this BS.

Once it gets dark UPS might "attempt" to deliver, but they don't attempt very hard. I've been stiffed at least 3 times by UPS when their truck pulled up outside my house after dark and the driver never even got out of vehicle. Once it hits a certain time they just half-ass the rest of the day, drive around a little and head back to the office. The drivers don't give a damn if you don't get your package today, they only care that they're home in time for dinner.

That sucks..

My i8600 was on it's 2nd attempt when I went out to meet the driver who stopped out front, only to find his truck was a dump in the back with boxes thrown everywhere and no clue where mine was. So he said he'll stop back on his way thru if he comes across it, which he did. Anyhow, I caught a good look at how boxes get destroyed and fragile items broken

Do you remember:

Jim Carrey in the Pet Detective - the first scene when he is kick, beating, and punching the package?

I promise you this guy spent 30 minutes in the apt. complex across the street. There's no way that he had THAT many deliveries in one apt. complex. I saw him go in and I saw him leave. I hate how UPS refuses to call the driver. Don't tell me that you can't get intouch with the flipping driver, FedEx actually three-wayed me, the customer service rep and the driver to figure out where he was and help give him directions. I just wish there was a way to never deal with UPS. I've never had a timely delivery, even with next day air. They miss the 11 or 10AM deadline mine 45 minutes.

If it was just across the street, you should walked yourself over there. Stop your griping.

Yea I love how fedex reattempts deliveries if you call them on the same day.
DHL/Airborne does this too.

I hate ups.
