That's the beauty of it, I RossMAN'd it offa the woman's desk.
That desk is like a postit tree. I can just wander up and pick a nice, ripe postit pad any time I want. :)

I WANT that drive. Ethernet? Awesome. :D

EDIT: just checked the Ximeta website...looks like it needs drivers. :(

HUGE turnoff...no wonder it's so cheap.

How do you guys use more than 2 HDDs, if your secondary IDE is for DVDROM/Burner ? Are you using IDE ?

Drivers are needed even if you hook it up to your network? Perhaps the drivers are for connecting it via USB.

Two on primary ide, two on primary raid running in ide, and I could add four more today if I could get this godforsaken ata 133 pci card to work.
*shakes ata card and curses it to hell*

Nope, you need drivers to make it appear as a "local drive" on your computer, even when useing Ethernet. I wonder if it could work if you map the drive, but I'm afraid to buy it, given CompUSA's notorious return policies.

Still need drivers either way. Once hooked up via USB or Ethernet, you can map it as a regular drive in My Computer. (We have two in our remote office in Tampa) Note: it's cheap for a reason, quality isn't high in that product.

PCI IDE controller. I bought one for £8 or so from dabs.com and I have 2 more IDE channels = 4 more IDE devices I can put on. Works flawlessly :)

That's obscene, but then again...oh how I would love a TB fileserver :[/b]drool;
