I downloaded a few songs the other day and they were pretty good so I ordered both their CD's. They were cheap too.

Some of their songs I hear a little Tool influence. Do you?

i saw whatever their big video is and i had to stop it because i was laughing my ass off so hard. drowning in cliches. i think i might have thought that was creative when i was 11...
tool influence? lol.

sorry. that was harsh.

Apparently you haven't heard too many of their songs have you? My wife and I are big Tool fans and we both heard their influence in a few of Chevelle's songs we downloaded. I didn't say all of them but there ARE a couple that have a little Tool influence and sound.

Crappy cliched video or not I like em.

FaZZ is right. Me and the Wife heard a few of their songs and they do indeed seem to have a bit of Tool influence in them. I think its the long drawn out beats and guitar that make it sound that way. Sort of slurred and valium driven. More so older Tool like Undertow.

Ohh ya, Chevelle is awesome, I just got to se them recently in concert, I wished they had played more but it was well worth the money. For a while no one knew who they were but now all of a sudden the radio stations are playing a buch of their stuff. They are one of my most favorite bands.

I bought the CD for $6 at best buy a couple weeks ago. Some of it's ok, some of it really sucks. Half their songs have a total of three words they repeat about 45 times for three minutes and 20 seconds.

Meh.
