I have to learn German

Hey I have to take a basic german class, so I was wondering if anyone else who has had to take such a class could link me to any good recources that you may know of. I was kinda looking for forums or tutorials about basic grammer and stuff.. my book really sucks and my teacher is super old and has a deep accent. and to top it off, i havent had too much luck with google...

any help is appreciated.
