I have to ask...What are the BEST ATI drivers?

I know, it's probably a repost, but I have to know. I've heard good things from Omega, but when I tried to install them, D3 and HL2 wouldn't initialize. So that's out. Any ideas?

If you have some FPS data, that would help. Benchmarking programs (3D Mark) are know to be unreliable regarding game performance.

Well, you could check the DRIVER STICKY at the top of the forum... that might be a good start. 😛

Just use the latest official ones. Unlike NVIDIA, ATI puts out new official drivers every month, so your choices are basically this month's official ones, or the betas of next month's version. There are other unofficial tweaked drivers (like the Omega package) that you can use, but generally they are just slightly tweaked versions of the base drivers that might give a few percentage points of improvement or enable certain features (like overclocking) that are turned off in the base drivers. They also work on laptops, which can be VERY helpful.

I see... well, I already have the Cat. 5.3 drivers (6.14.10.6517). I was just wondering if any other drivers will give me a boost in performance/IQ.
