I have to admit it: Timberlake's first solo effort is quite good!

...or at least what I've heard of it (I don't own it, I've just heard the "hits" off of it). Given how much I hate N*Sync, this is quite a surprise. The album is very well thought out--it's well produced, and written with a lot of care and attention detail. The whole sound throughout it is so tight (and I don't mean that in the slang for "cool" way, I mean it just clicks so well together, you know, has a real tight-knit sound). Lots of credit to Justin and his producer(s) on this album.

He tries to sound like freakin' Micheal Jackson with the "heee heee"s and the high pitch whine crap.
That's what irritates me about his songs. If it weren't for that I'd like them more.

Yeah, if I have one complaint, that's it. His falsetto is annoying, and he seems to feel the need to do it at least once a track. But still, the album as a whole just clicks really well.

I admit I hate NSYNC as well but the cry me a river song has grown on me, props to timbaland

timbaland?
haha... is that rapper in the song or something? or is that a spelling mistake... pardon!!

as an indie-rock fan, i am loath to admit it, but i recently heard cry me a river and i kind of liked it. it's chock full of michael jackson rip-offs which in my book is a good thing. he's got that jackson "angst" thing going too. it's some grade A pop. 😉

LOL, I originally read that too fast and thought it said, "...his fellatio is annoying..."

It is a good album, likely those of you who claim to despise it probably haven't even heard it. Especially if you classify it as pop, that alone proves that either you didn't listen to it, or you don't know jack sh!t about music.

i guess you want a cookie?

of course he has to sound like m.j. after all the demons THAT guy is facing, we could use a replacement. dangling kids, face falling off, spider bites, m.j. is one scary guy. so, timberlake is just filling in the shoes for the time being until the king of pop stops scaring little kids.

Probably not the only thing he and MJ have in common. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge, know what I mean?
