Any chance you are allergic to soy? My mom is, and she gets pretty bad headaches whenever she eats any food with soy it.

The most important thing you can learn to say is "Bu yao wei xing." (not sure of the spelling). It means, "Please do not use MSG."

The second most important thing to learn to say is, "Xie xie." It means, "Thank you." :)

MSG and MSG alone (for me) causes the migraines I wouldn't wish on anybody. You'll know a migraine when you're bed-ridden rather than just simple head pain. I've learned not to fvck around anymore. I used to be fine with MSG also, but people's bodies change over time... just accept it. Or make sure they don't put any MSG in their food. This one place I go to claims they don't and I've never had a problem with their food. Other places that taste extremely good (and makes you thirsty after) had caused problems for me all the time and I finally figured out what it was.

I eat pizza like there's no tomorrow but I'm fine with it and all that cheese - probably because the MSG comes "natural" in the cheese. I've had one episode since these started that was triggered by a dish of Fettucine Alfredo. Every other time (about 20 times the past 4 years) has been Chinese food.
