Anybody encounter this? Anyone have a fix? Most of the time, it works fine. Other times though... I'll drap the pointer over and it won't pop up. I can hit the windows key and it'll work fine though. Any ideas? I've seen this problem on Win98, ME, and Win2000.

I know what you speak of. It doesn't trouble me too much because I can get out of it with the windows key. I believe it is caused by applications which have some kind of a FULL SCREEN effect coded into them. Mostly I see it with installation programs.

It may bee related to the problem where I have it as 'never on top', and the all of a sudden it gets changed to 'always on top' all on its own.

It maybe because of a virus called windows, but i ain't sure. So if you find out lemme know because it bugs me too.

As Norssak mentioned, I've only seen it happen where an application is coded to have "always on top" priority...usually installation routines. Aggravating as hell, I can't see why it would ever be necessary. Either the windows key or pressing Ctrl-Esc will bring the task bar to the front.
